If your split system is dripping water, you most likely have a drainage pipe that is blocked. Luckily, this is an easy fix. Drainage pipes often become clogged, meaning the condensation runoff begins to drip from the unit. Simply turn your air conditioner off and remove the filters by opening the front panel (this is an excellent opportunity to give them a clean).

Once you have removed the front panel, you’ll see two plastic snaps inside of your unit, which you can press to lift the bottom of the unit, allowing access to the drainage pipe (the largest pipe of the bunch). There will be a joint holding the drainage pipe together which you’ll need to remove allowing both sides of the pipe to drain. Vacuum any excess debris within the pipe once it has emptied and reseal the joint. The last step is to reassemble your unit, and you find the problem has been solved.
